Each album has its unique story.

This album is a phoenix rising from the flames.
The previous system of my life, living and working between France and Finland, recording in a home-studio in Montpellier with my bandmate Loïc Tézénas, was over. I was starting from scratch again

First i thought i would make one last stop in Helsinki, then cross the ocean and settle in NYC. But i never did.
Instead i hung out with musicians i knew and some new i met. In a park of Kallio, while he was watching his little girl and playing the acoustic guitar, i met Kiko Loureiro. Then he left to L.A, where he would play with Megadeth. I inherited his acoustic guitar and with it and my laptop, i began to create the songs that would make Face Your Demons.

Then one evening, after i had attended Tuska festival, i ran into my old friend Tero Kinnunen. He was there for a Nightwish gig. We re-connected. A couple of days later - because i am one person who believes in the signs that life sends me, it came to my mind that maybe, Tero would be the right person to co-produce this album with me. And we did.

We first recorded the two singles 'Into The Sea' and 'Frozen Path' entirely in Finnvox Studios, with a band and a strings quartet, as well as with special guest Lily Neill on the harp.

These songs can be found on the Digipack only, as bonus tracks.

I felt that the sound of these two tracks, however beautiful it was, was not the sound of the album.
The "clic" came to my mind after we had recorded three live videos in Artlab Studios, for the songs 'Angel Made Temptress', 'Deadly Together' and 'Your Way'. The combination of this live Rock/Metal sound together with the very clean strings and samples, was the sound of my album.

So, we came back to the same studio and recorded the rest of the songs, in the same live conditions. And this is also why there is a different line-up in those songs.
